Avocado Green Brands in Fullerton, CA is seeking a Prep-Finisher to join the Carpentry team. You will shape, finish and restore wooden furniture, inspect for damage, disassemble parts, sand, and apply finishes to achieve the desired look.

This on-site role requires meticulous attention to detail and experience with hand and power tools. The position offers competitive hourly pay, Cal OSHA safety adherence, and benefits as part of a dynamic, mission-driven team focused on eco-friendly wood frames

Job description

THE ROLE

Avocado is currently looking for a Prep-Finisher to be part of the Carpentry team. This role will report to the Carpentry Manager. The Carpentry Prep-Finisher will shape, finish, and restore our products. As a wood finisher, you will be required to examine the product, identify damaged areas, disassemble the basic parts, and smooth or shape the wood. You will also be required to apply finishing lubricants to achieve the desired color and design. This candidate will be part of a dynamic fast-growing team responsible for creating our eco-friendly organic mattress wood frames and furniture pieces!

Note on Location: Here at Avocado Green Brands, we treasure teamwork and working together in person. You will be working on-site at one of our Fullerton locations.

Note on Pay Transparency: The pay range for this role is $17.00 - $18.25 hourly.

WHAT YOU’LL BE WORKING ON…

• Disassembling the furniture or wooden item.
• Inspecting the wood for rot and physical damage.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to wear personal protective gear like safety glasses.
• Must be comfortable working in an environment with machinery noise.
• Stationary position: Must be able to remain stationary 50% of the time.
• Movements: Must be able to move throughout the warehouse to access different machines.
• Must be able to frequently move material weighing up to 50 pounds.
