Responsibilities

• Follow prep lists prepared by chefs for daily kitchen prep.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings accurately.
• Wash, chop, and prep vegetables and meats.
• Assist with reducing sauces and basic cooking tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized prep area and sanitize surfaces.
• Store and label food and supplies properly.
• Assist with loading/unloading for catering events.
• Help with kitchen setup and plating for events.

What You'll Do

As a Prep Cook at Crave Cuisine, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly. Depending on the shift, your responsibilities may include:

Prep Shift Responsibilities:

• Following prep lists created by our chefs.
• Measuring ingredients and seasonings accurately for cooking.
• Preparing ingredients by washing and chopping vegetables, cutting meat, etc.
• Demonstrating basic cooking knowledge (e.g., reducing sauces, parboiling foods).
• Maintaining a clean and organized prep area and kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of trash.
• Ensuring all food and supplies are properly stored and labeled.

Event Kitchen Assistant Responsibilities:

• Helping load and unload the catering truck.
• Following the Chef's instructions on kitchen setup.
• Assembling hors d'oeuvres and plating entrées and desserts.
• Assisting with cleaning up the kitchen after events.
