Job description

Position Summary

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing menu items utilizing cooking equipment in a fast-paced environment. The Prep Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. Portion control, food waste, and sanitation are additional areas that the Cook must be aware of while operating in the kitchen. The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work an event-driven schedule including nights and weekends per business needs.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $17.75 - $22.19.

Benefits are per the union agreement.

This position will remain open until August 15, 2025.

About the Venue

Allegiant Stadium is a technologically-advanced stadium that is home to the Las Vegas Raiders NFL team and hosts world-class entertainment including concerts and sporting events.

Responsibilities

1. Provide high-quality, fresh food products in a timely manner for delivery to guests.
2. Prepare hot and cold foods following company recipes and portioning requirements.
3. Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, service, and delivery of products.
4. Report any maintenance required for kitchen equipment.
5. Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
6. Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
7. Portion, arrange, and garnish food plates for delivery to guests.
8. Consult with the Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Kitchen Supervisor to plan menus and estimate expected food consumption.
9. Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications

1. Previous cook or prep cook experience.
2. Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment including broiler, steamer, convection oven, mixer, meat slicer, and chef's knife.
3. Effective communication skills in English.
4. Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
5. Possess a valid SNHD food handling card.
