A Prep Cook will be responsible for following the directions of the Chef and Sous Chef, adhering to recipes and prep lists. Prep times per recipe are closely monitored to ensure efficiency of operations. All Prep Cooks will have opportunities to develop new skills and work towards becoming a line cook.

Essential Functions:
  • Ability to read and follow prep lists and recipes
  • Basic knife skills
  • Knowledge of stock and sauce preparation
  • Ability to work in a busy environment while maintaining sanitation standards
  • Communicate ordering and prep needs to management
  • Maintain walk-in and cooler organization
  • Adapt to changes in service pace
  • Provide backup support during busy services
Other Functions:
  • Fill in as needed to ensure smooth operation as directed by management
  • Follow health and safety standards, restock, and clean
Physical Functions:
  • Stand/walk for a minimum of 8 hours
  • Mobility for up to 8 hours or as needed
  • Lift up to 20 pounds frequently
  • Reach, bend, stoop, carry, manipulate, and input data
  • Work in warm and cool environments
  • Work in noisy environments
  • Tolerate potential allergens such as peanuts, eggs, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish
