South Port Square in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a part-time Prep Cook to join our hospitality-driven team. The role prepares soups, stocks, sauces, and all menu items per standardized recipes while coordinating with meal serving times to preserve quality and appearance.

Qualifications include a high school diploma, English proficiency, and at least one year of restaurant or senior living cooking experience.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
• Minimum of one year restaurant/senior living or equivalent cooking experience

Aufgaben

• Prepares soups, stocks, sauces; boils, braises, and roasts items per standardized recipes.
• Prepares and serves all sautéed, fried, grilled, steamed, and baked items per recipes.
• Plans food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, ensuring quality, temperature and presentation.
• Determines amount and type of food and supplies required for daily menus and ensures timely availability.
• Maintains assigned workstation in a safe and sanitary condition.
• Maintains personal hygiene and complies with department dress code.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
• Performs duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
