Job summary

Carmines and Virgil's Real BBQ in Las Vegas is seeking an experienced Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In our scratch kitchen, you will prepare ingredients, follow recipes, and support the line to deliver outstanding meals daily.

You should be able to work in a high-volume environment, follow safety guidelines, and collaborate with a close-knit team. Perks include medical and dental coverage, PTO, free employee meals, and staff discounts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for assigned stations per recipe specs.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized prep area and store tools properly.
• Monitor inventory of side dish ingredients and communicate needs.
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines per regulations.
• Support kitchen team across prep, dishwashing and line tasks as needed.
• Assist Manager with other duties as assigned.

We are looking for an experienced Prep Cook to join our culinary team. When you join our scratch kitchen, you become part of a focused team who have a passion for outstanding food using the freshest ingredients that will allow you to deliver remarkable meals daily. As a prep cook you are responsible for all putting everything in place before every Southern Italian meal is cooked to perfection!

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for assigned stations, including measuring, cutting, peeling, and slicing, according to recipe specifications.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized prep area before, during, and after use, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
• Monitor inventory levels of side dish ingredients and communicate needs to the Sous Chef throughout the shift.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines as outlined by management and in compliance with city, state, and federal regulations.
• Support the entire kitchen team, assisting with tasks across prep, dishwashing, and the line as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

• Ideally, with experience in Food prep in a high-volume environment.
• Able to follow Instructions and work as part of team.
