Job summary

Lab37 Robotics, based in Lawndale, CA, is seeking a Prep Cook to bridge raw ingredients and our robotic bowl-building systems. You will follow software-guided SOPs to prepare components and stage them for robotic assembly in a high-tech kitchen environment.

You will use precise knife skills, digital scales, and safety protocols while supporting a fast-paced automated kitchen. The role starts at $23.00 per hour and offers comprehensive benefits and onsite work five days a week.

• Precision Preparation: Execute expert knife skills to prepare proteins and vegetables, ensuring every cut meets exact specifications for robot compatibility.
• Scientific Portioning: Utilize digital scales for the precision weighing of ingredients and sauces, maintaining strict adherence to company recipes to ensure flavor consistency.
• Human-Robot Collaboration: Seamlessly operate and load automated bowl-building units, monitoring robot performance and following software-guided protocols for reloading and staging.
• Inventory & Analytics: Maintain meticulous inventory logs and track food waste through our digital platform, ensuring the kitchen is always stocked for peak demand.
• Advanced Equipment & Safety: Master the use of commercial induction stoves, combi ovens, and blast chillers while upholding rigorous sanitation and food safety standards.

About the role

As a Prep Cook, you are the critical link between raw ingredients and our bowl-building robots. This isn't just prep; it's culinary engineering. What we're looking for

This role is based in our Lawndaleoffice. As a company driven by invention and continuous change - we are constantly reimagining our industries, building new products, and refining how we operate. We do our best work together. That’s why all of our office-based teams work onsite, five days a week.

The base starting rate for this role is $23.00 per hour.

Actual compensation will be determined on an individual basis and may vary depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
