Job summary

Villagio Hospitality Group is seeking a Prep Cook to join the opening culinary team at Tempo by Hilton in Manassas, VA. You’ll support both Moonsong Café and Repeal Speakeasy with precise, high-quality prep work.

The role emphasizes organization, food safety, and teamwork, with a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; prior prep-cook experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow recipes and verbal instructions precisely.
• Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• 1–2 years of prep cook or kitchen support experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, chop, measure, and portion ingredients for daily prep and service.
• Assist with basic cooking tasks such as parboiling, reducing sauces, and prepping side dishes.
• Follow recipes and prep lists accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain food safety standards, proper storage practices, and labeling using FIFO procedures.
• Keep prep area clean, organized, and sanitized throughout the shift.
• Alert chefs or supervisors of low inventory levels and assist with restocking.
