Job summary

CC Holdings, Inc. seeks friendly, motivated prep cooks for the IGC Cafe in the Indiana Government Center in Indianapolis. We offer both full-time and part-time roles with shifts Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm; weekends and holidays are closed.

You will support cafeteria stations and grab-n-go prep, handle produce, cooking, labeling, and ensure food safety and sanitation. Starting rate up to $16.00 per hour with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Arrives in proper uniform and adheres to grooming standards.
• Sets up station according to cafe guidelines.
• Prepares all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follows portion control and presentation specifications as set by the café.
• Restocks all items as needed throughout shift.
• Cleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
• Has understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in kitchen.
• Ensure quality and safety of food by performing standard and any additional sanitary measures including sweeping of the floors, cleaning of surfaces, as well as proper covering and storage of food items according to standards and procedures.
• Work at efficient and consistent pace.
• Knowledge of methods and procedures for serving food, principles of sanitation, and principles of safe food handling required.
• Effective communication skills.
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
• Attention to detail in all areas of work.
• Superior time management skills, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
• Has the ability to deal with changes.
• Willingness to assist in other tasks when asked.
• Prior work in a high volume kitchen preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to cafeteria stations and grab-n-go for preparation of meals and ingredients.
• Assemble produce, cook/heat products, chop, dice, pack and label items for front- and back-of-house use.
• Maintain quality control, food safety and sanitation throughout the shift.

Assembling produce, cooking/heating of product, chopping, dicing, packing and labeling of produces both front of house & back of house. The prep cook is responsible for quality control, food safety and sanitation. Starting rate up to $16.00 an hour!
