Job summary

City Winery in Nashville is seeking a prep cook to support our lunch and dinner productions. You will gather and prepare a variety of items, wash and portion ingredients, and work across prep stations in a fast-paced environment.

As part of City Winery’s culinary team, you will maintain cleanliness, follow exact recipes and safety practices, and help ensure high-quality plate presentation. Flexibility for shifts including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Two+ years as a prep cook in a high-volume kitchen or similar setting.
• Strong knife skills and safe food handling
• Ability to follow recipes and guidelines precisely.
• Excellent teamwork and communication in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of food items for service in a timely, accurate manner.
• Wash, slice, peel, measure, mix and prep ingredients per recipes.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain cleanliness in work areas.
• Label, date and rotate items using FIFO; store and stock inventory as needed.
• Follow health, safety and sanitation standards and company policies.
