Job summary

OnTheFly Hospitality in Dublin, OH, is seeking a cook to prepare a variety of foods using broilers, ovens, grills and other kitchen equipment according to the Daily Prep List.

The role requires 1 year of kitchen experience, the ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand for long periods, and communicate clearly with managers and kitchen staff; follow standard recipes and maintain a clean workspace.

Qualifications

• 1+ year kitchen preparation and cooking
• At least 6 months in a similar role
• Clear communication with managers and kitchen staff
• Ability to lift up to 40 lb repeatedly
• Stand for long periods (up to 5 hours)

Responsibilities

• Complete opening and closing checklists.
• Refer to Daily Prep List at the start of each shift for assigned duties.
• Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
• Understands and complies with standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules.
• Portions food products prior to cooking according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area and equipment.
• Closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing checklist; assists others in closing.
• Attends scheduled meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.
• Reports equipment and food quality problems to Kitchen Manager promptly.
• Informs Kitchen Manager of product shortages.
• Uses the Standard Recipe Card for preparing all products; do not rely on memory.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
