Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed at Texas A&M University in College Station, TX is hiring a full-time Prep Cook. You will prepare and serve food, follow recipes and production schedules, and maintain HACCP compliance across multiple stations.

The role requires attention to detail and ability to work standard shifts in a campus dining setting. The position offers full-time hours with a schedule including Sundays and weekdays, and a pay range of $13.50–$17.00 per hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of food preparation and cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable standards.
• Obtains daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepares items following established quantities and recipes.
• Operates and cleans equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels and dates all food items according to policy and HACCP guidelines.
• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation time.
• Serves customers efficiently and maintains quality and portions.
• Completes required documentation, logs and reports as needed.
• Resolves customer concerns and performs other duties as assigned.
