Job summary

Canteen North America is hiring immediately for full time and part time prep cook positions at Vikings Foundation in Eden Prairie, MN. The role involves preparing food to standard recipes, serving customers, and supporting events.

Requires prior cooking experience and a valid driver’s license to transport meals for donation sites. Shifts typically 6:00 am–2:00 pm, Monday through Thursday, with opportunities at food truck events.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required.
• Driver's license required to drive the catering van to drop off the donated meals at sites.

Responsibilities

• Obtain daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Prepare items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Taste completed meals to ensure quality.
• Operate and clean equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Stores, labels, and dates all food items according to policy and follows HACCP guidelines.
• Completes all required documentation, reports, logs as required.
• Complies with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Takes orders from customers and prepares items requiring short preparation time.
• Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Completes orders from steam tables and grill and serves customers at multiple stations.
• Uses approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Resolves customer concerns.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Schedule: Full time and part time schedules. Monday through Thursday, 6:00 am to 2:00 pm. Assisting at food truck events as needed. Further details upon interview.
