Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Prep Cook in Texas to set the prepared food department up for success by prepping veggies, salads, and meat. You’ll maintain a clean, safe workspace and help with inventory so the kitchen stays stocked with essentials.

You’ll engage customers with a friendly approach, support merchandising efforts, and collaborate with the team to ensure quality, timely service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set the prepared food department’s day up for success by slicing and dicing veggies, composing salads and cold items, cutting & grinding meat and more.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and neat work area at all times.
• Take inventory and place orders to ensure the kitchen has the right supplies and ingredients.
• Collaborate with the team on merchandising and marketing strategies in the department.
• Provide fast and friendly customer service to shoppers.
