Job summary

Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a Prep Cook to support the prepared foods department by slicing vegetables, assembling salads, and grinding meat.

You’ll keep your work area safe, clean and organized, and you’ll help ensure timely stock of ingredients so the kitchen runs smoothly. In this role you’ll collaborate with teammates on merchandising and marketing efforts in the department and provide fast, friendly customer service.

Qualifications

• Basic food safety awareness and hygiene practices.
• Ability to slice vegetables, prepare salads and cold items.
• Comfort with cutting & grinding meat and similar prep tasks.
• Willingness to adapt to different station environments (freezer to prep area).
• Must be at least 18 years old and capable of lifting heav yitems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare salads and cold items for daily service.
• Slice vegetables and portion ingredients.
• Cut and grind meat as required by recipes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation.
• Assist with inventory and placing orders to stock supplies.
