Job summary

Delaware North's Patina Group in Boston, MA is hiring part-time Prep Cooks to join our team at Banners Kitchen and Tap. As a Prep Cook, you will prepare food items for our guests and support great dining experiences.

Responsibilities include retrieving items, measuring and portioning, communicating with the Chef, keeping the kitchen clean, and performing opening/closing duties while adhering to health codes and ServSafe guidelines.

Qualifications

• Prior food preparation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets.
• Ability to use kitchen tools safely (knives and small equipment).
• Ability to follow instructions.
• No high school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve storage items necessary, and measure, portion, and prepare all food items, complying with all quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures.
• Communicate with the Chef for any special instructions or training.
• Maintain food, utensils, and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
• Performs opening, closing, and side work duties as instructed and according to proper guidelines.
• Follow all safety, security, kitchen, and ServSafe procedures, upholding all health codes and sanitation regulations.
