Responsibilities

• Prepares cooking items according to recipes and procedures.
• Reports to work well-groomed in clean uniform and maintains personal hygiene.
• Uses, maintains and cleans kitchen equipment and prep areas.
• Stocks and rotates products ensuring shelf life standards.
• Keeps knowledge of recipes, menu items and prep procedures for correct portions and timing.
• Preps items according to guest requests while following safety and sanitation procedures.
• Controls food cost and ensures proper portioning as per recipes.
• Maintains cleanliness of kitchen, prep areas, coolers and storage areas.
• Follows safety procedures concerning food handling and storage.
• Conducts line sweeps and keeps the work area clean throughout the shift.
• Assists front of house staff with dining room cleanliness and guest service.
