Job summary

Creative Dining Services is seeking a Prep Cook for a part-time PM shift in Sioux Center, IA. You will work within the Dining Services Department to prepare meals that are high quality, properly seasoned, and served safely, supporting the overall dining program.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 1 year of food service experience, and ServSafe certification. Benefits include competitive pay, potential bonuses, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year food service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food such that all items are ready for use within the established timeframe.
• Prepare items according to recipes and menus while preserving freshness, quality and appeal.
• Use safe food handling techniques at all times.
• Store food with proper labeling and dating.
• Hold hot and cold items at safe serving temperatures.
• Maintain logs for temperatures and storage conditions.
• Keep a clean, sanitized work area and organized kitchen.
• Communicate needs and concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Monitor equipment and report discrepancies immediately.
• Support kitchen staff to ensure essential functions are performed.
• Assist in ordering and inventory procedures.
• Remove refuse and stock as needed.
