Job summary

Drury Inn & Suites in Charlotte is seeking a kitchen associate to prepare a variety of food products, using kitchen equipment and utensils, to fulfill guest orders in line with our policies and procedures.

The role emphasizes maintaining a clean prep area, delivering food, and assisting guests with a high standard of integrity, service, and hospitality at all times. You should have knowledge of the hotel, the area, and events to answer guest questions. Rise. Shine. Work Happy.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Requires ability to take written and verbal direction in English and speak English clearly.
• Requires ability to operate machines and equipment used, including but not limited to, POS software, dishwashers, kitchen equipment, etc.
• Requires ability to communicate effectively with customers and all levels of team members; ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism including bar guests.
• Requires ability to support bartender, but does not make or pour alcoholic beverages.
• Requires ability to clean and maintain areas for which responsible.
• Requires ability to effectively and efficiently move around bar and kitchen area.

Responsibilities

• Summary: Under general supervision, prepares a variety of food products using kitchen equipment and utensils according to recipe cards to fulfill guest orders following Company policies and procedures.
• Maintains the food prep area in a clean, well-organized manner while delivering food and assisting guests as needed.
