KD Market in Schiller Park, IL is seeking a reliable kitchen assistant to support daily prep, washing and chopping ingredients, and keeping the kitchen clean and organized.

You will assist with food storage, sanitation, and incoming deliveries. Must have ServSafe certification, basic knife skills, and the stamina to work in a warm environment; full‑time benefits include health insurance, PTO, 401(k), and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• ServSafe Food Handler Certification is required.
• Basic knife skills and familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods in heat/cold environments.

Responsabilités

• Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping as directed by prep lists.
• Store raw and prepared food in forward-facing containers with date codes.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation by washing dishes and cleaning surfaces.
• Assist with accepting and organizing incoming fresh food deliveries.
