Job summary

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa is seeking kitchen team members to support the cafe with all-around culinary duties. Cooks will prepare prep recipes and menu products to spec, label and refrigerate items, and maintain a clean, efficient kitchen.

We value safety, urgency, and professional communication with Front-of-House staff. Wage offered is up to $15+ per hour, with benefits vary by status.

Qualifications

• Kitchen experience preferred.
• Ability to read tickets and order boards.

Responsibilities

• Make prep recipes and menu products to spec.
• Label, date, cover and refrigerate prepped items.
• Perform opening, closing & side duties; set up, stock, break down equipment and stations.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and line.
• Practice safety and sanitation standards.
• Read order tickets or Kitchen Display System correctly.
• Assemble orders; verify product quality and specs.
• Demonstrate product knowledge to the team.
• Handle special prep, re-cook and large party group procedures.
