Job summary

Pura Vida Miami is seeking a dedicated kitchen team member to assist with prep, maintain a clean station, and support chefs across multiple roles. You will help ensure high-quality food, sanitary conditions, and efficient operations in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 1–2 years in food service, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and familiarity with measurement systems. We offer growth opportunities and a collaborative team culture in a busy kitchen.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years experience in a food production facility or fast-paced restaurant
• Local/municipal requirements such as Food Handler certification acquired at applicant’s own expense
• Strong knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Great communication and teamwork skills
• Familiar with measurement system
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Prep ingredients as per recipes and kitchen needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and store ingredients properly.
• Support chefs by measuring and mixing ingredients and other prep tasks.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with inventory control and notify Kitchen Manager of low stock.
• Perform daily and deep cleaning tasks in the kitchen.
• Assist in receiving deliveries and storage.
• Cross-train across roles to grow responsibilities.
• Take on additional duties as assigned.
