Job summary

Responsibilities include preparing and presenting plated dishes, tasting for doneness, managing portions, and collaborating with culinary leadership to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
• Experience of one year or more in cooking in a professional setting preferred.
• Able to promptly and accurately follow supervisor/manager instructions.
• Must qualify for licensing by Ohio Lottery Commission.

Responsibilities

• Foster a fun environment.

• Perform kitchen functions (broiler, sauté, Asian, prep, production) as needed.
• Follow day-to-day directions to meet culinary standards and guidelines.
• Prepare food items efficiently per recipes and plating procedures.
• Adjust oven and equipment temperatures as required.
• Bake, roast, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.
• Season foods during mixing or cooking.
• Taste and test foods for doneness.
• Carve meats, portion food, and garnish plates to fill orders.
• Wash, peel, cut and prep vegetables and fruits.
• Support safety and accident prevention programs.
• Work with culinary leadership to ensure smooth workflow.
• Be a role model and promote company image.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Familiarity with prep lists.
• Attend county health department class and obtain certification.
• Assist in operation of other food/beverage venues as needed.
• Attend departmental and company training sessions.
• Compile information and submit reports as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and gaming laws.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and meet dress and grooming standards.
• Meet department uniform and appearance requirements.
• Perform any reasonable task requested by supervisor.
