Applicants should have 1–2 years of culinary or hospitality experience, strong knife skills, and a Food Handler certification. This position emphasizes reliability, attention to detail, and teamwork in a welcoming Vandelay Companies

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• 1-2 years of culinary or hospitality experience in a full-service, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong knife skills and experience with hot and cold prep.
• Food handler certification as required by state and local agencies.
• Energetic, accountable and team-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Support Culinary Manager and kitchen team with daily tasks to ensure readiness for service.
• Prepare ingredients according to recipes, guidelines and quality standards.
• Execute prep tasks with accuracy, consistency and urgency.
• Maintain clean, organized and sanitary workstation; follow all safety protocols.
• Assist in daily kitchen setup and breakdown; care for equipment and facilities.
• Label, date, store and rotate ingredients using FIFO.
