Treehouse Silicon Valley, part of Starwood Hotels, is seeking a Prep Cook to support our culinary team with ingredient prep, stocks, and mise en place. You will help set up for service and maintain an organized, efficient kitchen environment.

Ideal candidates bring basic knife skills and a willingness to learn, with the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Training is available, and we offer growth opportunities within the team.

Qualifications

• Basic knife skills and fundamental food preparation techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Familiarity with ovens, mixers, and food processors.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a clean, orderly workspace.
• Willingness to learn and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to assist with a variety of tasks across the kitchen.
• Previous kitchen experience is a plus, training is available for motivated candidates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients such as vegetables, proteins, and sauces according to recipe standards.
• Execute foundational cooking tasks, including roasting, blanching, and making stocks or doughs.
• Assist with mise en place preparation to ensure readiness for service.
• Organize and store food items properly, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, tools, and workspaces to ensure a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
• Support the line team by preparing and replenishing mise en place during busy periods.
• Receive and check deliveries, properly labeling and storing inventory.
