Job summary

Heritage Hotels & Resorts in New Mexico is seeking a Prep Cook to lay the foundation for every service by preparing ingredients, setting stations and keeping the line organized. You will follow recipes, maintain quality and safety, support teamwork in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, and contribute to guest satisfaction.

No formal degree required, but NM Food Handler certification and flexibility are a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior food preparation or kitchen experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, portioning and organizing food items.
• Maintain quality, consistency and presentation standards for all food products.
• Follow recipes, production schedules and food safety procedures.
• Support kitchen operations through teamwork and efficient prep execution.
• Maintain clean, organized workstations and properly handle kitchen equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
