Job summary

Sifted is hiring a Prep Cook to join our commissary kitchen. Work Mon through Fri from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, heating up the kitchen and supporting a fast-paced environment to meet client needs while learning alongside an experienced managing chef and sous chef.

Ideal candidates have kitchen or catering experience, strong communication, and familiarity with Google apps and Microsoft Office; opportunities for growth within the company and daily lunch service are provided.

Qualifications

• ServSafe Food Handler certification required.
• Experience in catering and event servicing is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills are essential.
• Working knowledge of diverse cooking methods, ingredients and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and sanitize workstations.
• Follow daily prep lists.
• Measure ingredients and seasonings for cooking processes.
• Maintain clear communication with executive chef and city manager.
• Keep station and work areas clean at all times.
• Take ownership of tasks as assigned.
