Live Nation Entertainment’s House of Blues New Orleans is seeking a Cook to prepare food items according to standard recipes, ensuring proper portions and high quality in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include rotating stock, keeping areas clean, and assisting teammates while upholding safety and sanitation standards. Must be able to lift up to 150 lbs and work shifts in a demanding venue setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments.
• Ability to manage high-volume food prep and maintain quality and consistency.
• Adherence to food safety and sanitation standards.
• Proficiency with knife skills and heavy-duty kitchen equipment.
• Comfort with following standardized recipes and portion control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to standard recipes.
• Ensure portions are correct size and weight.
• Follow all recipe specifications.
• Ensure proper rotation of all food items, including lifting/moving up to 150 lbs.
• Keep work areas clean and free of spills.
• Inspect food for spoilage and rotate items accordingly.
• Maintain equipment in prep area and kitchen.
• Support safety and sanitation standards across shifts.
• Assist other team members as needed and close out with manager.
