Levy Restaurants at the University of St. Thomas is seeking a part-time Prep Cook to support high-quality event dining at the university's new Lee & Penny Anderson Arena.

You will prep and portion ingredients, assist with menu items, and maintain clean, safe workstations in a fast-paced team setting. Experience in a professional kitchen is preferred; detail-oriented, reliable, and able to follow recipes accurately are essential traits for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a professional kitchen or food preparation role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating proteins, and measuring seasonings, to support kitchen operations.
• Assist with the preparation of menu items, such as sauces, sides, and entrees, according to chef instructions and established recipes.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production.
• Monitor inventory levels of prepared items and communicate replenishment needs to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
