A leading healthcare provider seeks a Prep Cook / Dishwasher for an Inpatient Hospice setting. This role involves assisting the Head Chef with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining cleanliness. Ideal candidates will have food service experience and a ServSafe certificate. The Prep Cook / Dishwasher assists the Head Chef in the preparation and serving of food and related cleanup activities for patients and staff in an intimate Inpatient Hospice setting and to our Meals on Wheels subscribers. A quality candidate must understand good nutrition in the preparation and service of food, and have the ability to maintain good public relations with residents, families, and staff.
The schedule is: Monday through Friday and every other weekend. The shifts are 8:30 am - 5 pm.
The physical requirements represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of their job. Normal kitchen environment where there may be physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, and the like. May involve varying conditions and circumstances with residents, staff, visitors, government agencies, etc. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move food, equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of twenty-five (25) pounds.
