Job summary

Powers Health is seeking a Prep Cook for CVI - Rehabilitation at Hartsfield Village. The role supports meal preparation for residents, following standardized recipes, and coordinating production with serving times in a continuing care setting.

The position requires walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds, with two years of cook experience. Strong teamwork and communication are essential in this on-site role within the Hartsfield Village kitchen.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of cook experience required.
• Must be able to stand, walk, climb, balance, kneel and crouch.

Responsibilities

• Prepares meals using standardized recipes in a safe, efficient, and sanitary manner.
• Determines food and supplies needed and coordinates meal production with serving hours.
• Ensures proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu and standardized recipes.
• Maintains or exceeds standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health.
• Assists with training and orientation of new kitchen staff.
• Ensures state sanitation regulations and follows all policies regarding food handling.
