Job summary

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. is seeking a Prep Cook to join our kitchen team in Mills River, NC. You will receive, prep, and organize food, working closely with BOH staff to maintain smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

The role requires basic cooking skills, 6 months in the food industry, and the ability to work under time pressure. We offer growth opportunities, a supportive team, and a stable schedule within our brewery environment.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in the food industry required.
• 6 months prep, line cook, or equivalent experience in the food service industry preferred.
• A pattern of regular, prompt, dependable attendance required.
• Ability to handle pressures of coordinating activities while delivering quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw and ready-to-eat foods according to standardized recipes approved by Executive Chef or General Manager.
• Cross-train to support operations in dish room and kitchen line.
• Maintain prepped food levels as directed by supervisor on duty.
• Ensure equipment, tools, and work areas are safe, clean, and well maintained.
• Receive, organize, and rotate orders to ensure quality and freshness.
• Participate in trainings and operational updates to stay current.
