This range is provided by Xperience Restaurant Group (XRG). Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$15.50/hr - $21.00/hr

Position Purpose

The prep cook prepares ingredients, sauces, and simple dishes, following the prep sheet and assisting chefs as needed.

Responsibilities
  1. Prepare hot and cold foods as per standards
  2. Follow prep sheets and communicate with chefs
  3. Wrap, label, and store food properly
  4. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  5. Maintain knowledge of kitchen operations and safety standards
  6. Assist in service and communicate effectively with team members
  7. Ensure cleanliness and safety in the kitchen
  8. Complete assigned duties and report issues
Qualifications & Skills
  • High School Diploma preferred
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • 18+ years old
  • Experience in kitchen operations and knife skills
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Effective communication skills in English
Working Conditions
  • Indoor/outdoor work environments with exposure to heat, cold, steam, and wet floors
  • Fast-paced, high-volume restaurant setting
  • Varying shifts including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods
  • Use hands for handling objects and tools
  • Lift up to 50 lbs
  • Climb stairs, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed
