Job summary

Xperience Restaurant Group (XRG) is seeking a prep cook to handle hot and cold foods, prep sheets, and coordinating with Chefs to meet prep times. You’ll wrap, label, and store items, operate kitchen equipment, and support safe, efficient kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment.

Role requires basic high school education, at least one year of related experience, and strong English communication. Competitive pay and flexible hours are offered along with health insurance for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
• Valid Driver’s License
• 18+ years of age
• Possession of or the ability to possess all state required work cards
• Minimum of one (1) years related experience
• Proper food storage knowledge
• Proper lifting techniques
• Guest relations
• Sanitation and safety
• Full service kitchen operations
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with staff and guests

Responsibilities

• Prepare all hot and cold restaurant foods
• Prepare prep sheet to include all items that need to be prepared or ordered
• Follow prep sheet and communicate to Chefs; ensure prep times are met
• Properly wrap, label, date and store all food items
• Set up, operate and clean all kitchen machinery/equipment and store it properly
• Maintain knowledge of equipment maintenance and safe handling
• Efficiently work with materials while minimizing costs
• Demonstrate knowledge in all areas of the kitchen
• Read measures, execute recipes, and process tickets for service
• Apply knife skills required for service
• Maintain menu knowledge and attention to detail
• Assist Chefs as needed in execution of service
• Communicate with management and staff to address issues
• Move furniture as directed by management
• Comply with safety and health procedures and liquor laws
• Maintain safety and sanitation standards
• Ensure checkout procedures
• Clean spills and dispose of trash
• Inform management of complaints or incidents
• Complete nightly/weekly and opening/closing duties
• Report equipment failure or safety hazards
• Assist with additional tasks as assigned
