Location
PNC Field, home of the Scranton/Wilkes‑Barre RailRiders. The venue is a 10,000‑seat professional baseball stadium featuring full‑size ballpark, multiple concession areas, premium seating, suites, and event spaces. It hosts baseball games and a range of other events throughout the year.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times.
- Arrive for scheduled events on time and report to assigned area promptly.
- Fulfill opening and closing duties.
- Report to direct supervisor for prep lists and timelines of the day's tasks.
- Carry out assigned tasks in a timely and safe fashion using correct recipes.
- Maintain constant cleanliness of walk‑in coolers, reach‑ins, dry storage and all work areas.
- Have extensive knowledge of all menus being offered, including specials.
- Communicate with supervisors, attendants, runners, chefs and Legends management.
- Work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments within the venue.
- Exhibit detail orientation that exceeds expectations.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and orderly kitchen setting.
- Complete closing duties and checkout with manager/supervisor.
- Know the layout of the kitchen and back‑of‑house area, including first aid office, bathroom and staircase locations, and be able to direct staff and guests accordingly.
- Be aware of other food and beverage outlets within the venue.
- May be re‑assigned to a different location in certain situations based on the venue’s needs. Other duties and assignments may apply.
- Work a flexible schedule to meet service demand levels, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
Education And/Or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent; degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred.
- 2‑4 years of experience working in a fast‑paced restaurant, caterer or other relevant food service area.
- Proactive, self‑motivated, organized, and able to prioritize as needed.
- Clean and constantly aware of sanitation procedures.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change quickly.
- Punctual and dependable.
- Ability to read and retain information (recipes, prep lists, menus, and signage).
- Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
- Basic English speaking, reading, and writing.
- Good teamwork skills in a stressful environment.
- Good personal hygiene and a well‑groomed appearance.
- Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods of time.
- Physical ability to stand, kneel, lift at least 30 pounds, carry items, push carts, walk at a fast pace, and bend down.
- Experience in a fast‑paced, professional kitchen in close quarters among fellow workers.
