Job Summary

The Prep Cook prepares food and serves customers in compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Obtain daily production schedule and requirements from the Chef.
2. Prepare items on production sheets following established recipes and quantities.
3. Complete and follow daily production worksheets and waste logs; taste meals for quality.
4. Operate and clean equipment after each use per department procedures.
5. Store, label, and date all food items according to policy, following HACCP guidelines.
6. Complete required documentation, reports, and logs.
7. Adhere to health and sanitation regulations and procedures.
8. Take customer orders and prepare items requiring short preparation times.
9. Serve customers efficiently and courteously.
10. Fill orders from steam tables and grills, serving at multiple stations.
11. Use approved recipes and standards to ensure quality, temperature, and portion control.
12. Resolve customer concerns as needed.
13. Perform additional duties as assigned.
