Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The Prep Cook will be responsible for assisting the Kitchen Manager and line cooks in preparing ingredients, ensuring the kitchen is clean and well-stocked, and maintaining high food safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate is passionate about cooking, possesses excellent knife skills, and thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Responsibilities:
- Assist the chef and line cooks in preparing and organizing ingredients for meal preparation.
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent food quality.
- Chop, slice, and dice vegetables, fruits, and herbs using proper knife techniques.
- Prepare meat, poultry, and seafood by trimming, cutting, and marinating as required.
- Measure and assemble ingredients for recipes, including sauces, dressings, and marinades.
- Stock and rotate food supplies to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
- Clean, peel, and slice produce based on kitchen needs and menu requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, utensils, and storage areas.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards, including proper handling and storage of food products.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely completion of all food preparation tasks.
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including safe operation of kitchen equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of supplies as necessary.
- Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance culinary skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
