Bamboo Sushi, located in Portland, OR, is hiring a Prep Cook for a full-time schedule (8am–4pm, Mon–Fri). The role involves basic prep, cleaning, and dishwashing, with opportunities to advance. Responsibilities

• Work with the prep cook team to prepare for the next delivery.

• Follow company policies and state food safety and sanitation standards.
• Maintain clean and organized workstations and safe handling practices.

• Work with the prep cook team, conducting food prep for the next delivery
• Basic prep, cleaning, and dishwashing
• Working as a team to ensure consistent and timely picking and packing of all commissary food orders with 100% accuracy
• Following company policies, state and food safety and sanitation standards
• Maintaining clean and organized workstations by always practicing safe and sanitary food handling
• Previous experience in food prep, inventory, delivery, or stocking preferred

Work is performed primarily in a fast-paced full service restaurant with frequent distractions and loud noises.

Physical

The person in this position needs to occasionally or frequently:

• Maneuver about inside the restaurant/office to access food/beverage items, machinery, and other restaurant equipment
• Operate basic office equipment
• Operate basic restaurant equipment
• Ascend/descend a ladder or stairs to service the machinery, lights, ceiling fans, etc.
• Be able to exchange accurate information while communication with customers
