Job summary

Evolving Solution Services in Phoenix is seeking a Full-Time Prep Cook to prepare basic foods for catering orders, following established recipes and client requests. The role is on-site and involves teamwork, food preparation, packaging, and occasional order delivery support.

You will maintain HACCP standards, assist with sanitation, drive safety, and help with stock and vehicle maintenance. Requires ServSafe certificate or ability to obtain within 7 days; prior aviation, hospitality, or food

Qualifications

  • Culinary experience in restaurants, hotels or catering or its equivalent required.
  • Current ServSafe Food Handling Certificate required at hire or within 7 days of hire,
  • Demonstrated ability to take orders and follow through as well as direct and work well with others in a team-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Must be energetic, enthusiastic, creative, and highly motivated to assist in food preparation and presentation.
  • Previous face-to-face customer service experience in the aviation, food services, or hospitality industry is essential.
  • Individual must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Prior delivery driving experience preferred.
  • Must have an excellent driving record and be able to pass a FAA on-ramp security clearance and pre-employment and random drug and alcohol screenings.

Responsibilities

  • Under the direction of the Chefs, the Prep Cooks primary responsibility is to produce top quality hot food.
  • The prep cook will follow a list of production on a daily basis. This list will consist of all culinary preparation needs.
  • The Prep Cook is a culinary professional in the Top Notch kitchen and is responsible to conduct himself or herself in the utmost professional manner whether working in our kitchen, on-site at a client location and to support all work required to include sanitation, driving and working with external customers and administrative support staff.
  • The prep cook will work efficiently while multitasking
  • The Prep Cook is responsible to verify that food quality and specifications and prioritizing food production orders, quality assurance, verifying the use of proper trays and packaging with accuracy, food safety and HACCP compliance.
  • The Prep Cook maintains a safe, orderly and sanitized kitchen by setting quat-sanitizer stations, assists in monitoring and journaling temp-logs and using gloves, food safety tools and best practices when cooking in the kitchen.
  • he Prep cook is responsible for delivering catering orders, concierge items in a safe and timely manner in compliance with Top Notch Standard Operating Procedures. Must follow safety guidelines of the state (s) they drive in while being courteous and careful to avoid accidents and dangerous situations while on the road.
  • Dress professionally and within the guidelines of Top Notch procedures including the company approved uniform.
  • All driving expectations and responsibilities when asked to drive and or deliver
  • All other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

Salary Range: $16.00 To $20.00 Hourly

Job Purpose:

The Prep Cook is responsible for preparing basic food-pre and menu items needed in filling catering orders based on established recipes or customer requests. The Prep Cook will be an on-site team player and production support for all production as well as being called on to deliver orders if needed, shopping, maintaining delivery vehicles and providing stellar customer service at every FBO and Client location. The Prep Cook is required to take immediate action in all orders received by the supervisor team while following company procedures. The Prep Cook prepares all foods to specification to include all hot foods, designed salads, sandwiches, canapés, desserts, sauces and all cold food preparations according to designated preparation methods. The Prep Cook works is based on following company procedures related to food quality, safety, customer satisfaction. The Prep Cook ultimately reports to the culinary leadership staff.
