Job summary

Holiday by Atria - Devonshire Estates in Lenox, MA seeks friendly kitchen staff to assist with meal preparation and presentation, delivering warm, attentive service to residents.

You will work closely with the Executive Chef and sous chef, follow recipes and production guides, maintain a clean, safe kitchen, and help with events and daily duties as needed. This role offers competitive hourly pay and benefits eligibility within a supportive team focused on resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Effective English reading, writing and communication with residents and staff.
• Food handlers permit as required by law.
• ServSafe certification is required.
• Ability to follow recipes and production guides.
• Knowledge of food handling, preparation, cooking and service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation and presentation of meals.
• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Work with Executive/Sous Chef to satisfy residents with food and dining programs.
• Maintain kitchen clean, safe, and sanitary at all times.
• Follow cleaning schedules and company standards for food safety.
• Assist with special events, banquets, and themed meals.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment.
• Attend pre-meal kitchen stand-up.
• May perform other duties as needed.

  Responsibilities

  • Maintain kitchen in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.
  • Adhere to cleaning schedules as assigned.
  • Ensure that all food is received, stored, and prepared according to company standards.
  • Assist cook with preparation and presentation of meals and snacks in accordance with Company recipes and production guides.
  • Keep kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptied.
  • Assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies.
  • Assist cooks as requested.
  • Adhere to standard food safety practices.
  • Assist with preparing and executing special events, banquets, and theme meals.
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitary manner.
  • Will attend pre-meal stand-up in the kitchen prior to meal service.
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

  Salary Range

  The wage range for this position is $17.00/hr - $20.40/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
