Job summary

Holiday by Atria - Farmington is seeking team members to assist with meal preparation and presentation, delivering excellent resident dining experiences. You will work with the Executive/Sous Chef to ensure residents are satisfied with menus, food quality, and service.

The role requires reading and following recipes, maintaining a clean and safe kitchen, and adhering to food safety practices. Training and opportunities for advancement are available within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing and spoken communication with residents and staff.
• Food handlers permit as required by law.
• ServSafe certification is required.
• Ability to read and follow recipes and production guides.
• Knowledge of food handling, preparation, cooking and service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and presentation of meals.
• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Collaborate with Executive/Sous Chef to satisfy residents with dining programs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen.
• Follow cleaning schedules and ensure proper food storage and prep.
• Assist with meal and snack preparation per recipes and production guides.
• Keep floors clean and trash emptied.
• Assist with transportation and storage of food and supplies.
• Support cooks as needed and adhere to food safety practices.
• Assist with special events, banquets, and theme meals.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely.
• Attend pre-meal kitchen stand-up.
• May perform other duties as assigned.

• Keep kitchen floors clean (sweeps and mops) and trash emptied.
• Assist with the transportation and storage of food and supplies.
• Assist cooks as requested.
• Adhere to standard food safety practices.
• Assist with preparing and executing special events, banquets, and theme meals.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment in a clean and sanitary manner.
• Will attend pre-meal stand-up in the kitchen prior to meal service.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.

Salary Range

The wage range for this position is $16.94/hr - $20.33/hr, dependent on prior work history and experience
