Job summary

Huse Culinary Inc in Indianapolis is seeking an experienced Prep Cook to support high-volume kitchen production. You will prepare ingredients according to recipes, maintain sanitary stations, label and store prep items, and assist with service prep while collaborating with the team to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires weekend availability and at least 1 year of prep cook experience. We offer $20 per hour, paid time off, personal days, medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k)

• Weekend availability required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients according to recipes and specifications to ensure quality and consistency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation following food safety guidelines.
• Label, date, store, and rotate prepared ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Assist with daily food preparation including chopping, portioning, measuring, and prep for service.
• Communicate with kitchen team to ensure prep needs are met and stations are stocked.
• Maintain urgency and attention to detail to meet daily production needs.

What you will do:

• Prepare ingredients according to restaurant recipes, preparation standards, and portion specifications to ensure consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation while following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Properly label, date, store, and rotate prepared ingredients to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Assist with daily food preparation, including chopping, portioning, measuring, and preparing ingredients for service.
• Communicate with kitchen team members to ensure prep needs are met and stations are properly stocked for service.
• Maintain a sense of urgency and attention to detail while completing prep lists and meeting daily production needs.
