We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented Prep Cooks who take pride in keeping the kitchen prepared, organized, and ready for service. Prep Cooks play an important role in setting the entire kitchen team up for success by making sure ingredients are prepared correctly, safely, and in the right quantities.
In this role, you’ll follow recipe specifications, prep sheets, cutting procedures, food-safety practices, and labeling standards to prepare ingredients for daily service. You’ll also help maintain clean, organized work areas and make sure all products are properly dated, rotated, and stored using F.I.F.O. — First In, First Out.

Responsibilities
- Prepare sauces, dressings, and other recipe components
- Prepare proteins in bulk, including items such as bacon, brisket, and short rib
- Cut, slice, and portion ingredients for service
- Follow recipe specifications and prep sheets to avoid over-prepping or under-prepping
- Properly label, date, portion, and store all prepared items
- Follow F.I.F.O. procedures at all times
- Monitor product dates and ensure all food remains within approved freshness standards
- Maintain high quality and consistency in all prepared items
- Keep prep areas, walk-ins, and kitchen storage areas clean and organized
- Follow all food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures
- Assist dishwashers and other kitchen team members when business needs require it
- Communicate clearly with chefs, cooks, and other team members
- Step in wherever needed to support the kitchen team
Qualifications
- Current Food Handler’s Card
- Previous prep cook or kitchen experience preferred
- Dependable and punctual
- Positive attitude and strong commitment to teamwork
- Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization
- Ability to follow recipes, prep sheets, and food-safety procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Ability to stand and remain active for five to eight hours at a time
- Ability to safely bend, reach, lift, and perform repetitive kitchen tasks
- Willingness to help wherever needed
Pay
- $15.00 to $19.00 per hour, based on experience
