What you’ll do:

The Brass Tacks

  • Utilize specification sheets to prepare daily requirements, maintaining par levels
  • Prepare new menu items under supervision
  • Ensure attractive, consistent food presentation, both buffet and plated
  • Interact with line cooks to monitor quality and presentation
  • Handle customer requests promptly
  • Set up, restock, maintain, and clean food prep areas
  • Meet presentation standards for all hot and cold items
  • Read and interpret recipes
  • Conduct inventories, and assist with ordering and receiving
  • Maintain grooming standards and adhere to sanitation and food safety protocols
  • Follow opening and closing kitchen procedures

The Nitty Gritty

  • Previous cooking experience preferred
  • State Food Handler’s License(s) required
  • Ability to read and understand instructions and communicate effectively
  • Must possess knife skills and be able to adjust preparations for flavor and customer needs
