Job summary

Forefront Healthcare in Erie, PA is seeking a team-oriented culinary professional to join our kitchen. You will follow standardized recipes, help with portioning, and ensure presentation standards are met while preparing meals for service.

The role requires attention to detail, prior culinary experience, and a willingness to work days, evenings, some weekends and holidays. This is an hourly position with varying shifts at our Erie kitchen.

Qualifications

• Follows standardized recipes, portioning, menu extensions, and presentation standards.
• Completes and utilizes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
• Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.
• Monitors temperature of hot and cold foods through preparation and service to meet established goals.
• In absence of the Director of Culinary, checks and inspects food products and supplies.
• Supervise and assist in storage of supplies and food products.
• Notify the Director of Culinary of food, supplies or equipment needs, report equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and audits.

Forefront Healthcare is looking for a team player to join our culinary team located in Erie, PA! The ideal candidate would enjoy working in the kitchen, have good attention to detail, and have prior culinary experience.

• Follows standardized recipes, portioning, menu extensions, and presentation standards.
• Completes and utilizes daily production worksheets and waste log sheets.
• Tastes completed meals to ensure quality.
• Monitor temperature of hot and cold foods through food preparation and service to ensure that established temperature goals are met prior to steam table transfer and maintained throughout meal service.
• In the absence of the Director of Culinary, checks and inspects food products and supplies as delivered.
• Supervise and assist in storage of supplies and food products.
• Notify the Director of Culinary of food, supplies or equipment needs, report equipment breakdowns and unsafe conditions to the Director of Culinary.
• Complies with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures as evidenced through local health department and third-party audits.
• Perform other department duties assigned by the Director of Culinary.

This is an hourly position, with expected hours to include: Days, evenings, some weekends, and some holidays. A schedule will be provided, and the associate will use appropriate timekeeping methods to document hours worked.
