Department:Nutrition Services

Position Type: Full time, 40 hours/week, Non-Exempt

Start Time: 6:45 am - 3:15 pm, Sunday - Thursday

Your role with us

As a prep cook, your role is to prepare, cook, and fry high-quality food quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You are responsible for maintaining consistency, quality, and speed throughout your shift while following all food safety and hygiene standards. You play a key part in the kitchen team, ensuring every dish meets the department’s standards before it reaches the customer or patient.

What you'll do

• Prepare and portion ingredients, including cutting produce in various forms.
• Stock and maintain station pars throughout the shift.
• Ensure all stations are fully prepped and ready for service.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as deep fryers, broilers, flat tops, and ovens.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment.
• Follow hygiene and food safety standards carefully.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Provide exceptional service through consistent food quality and presentation.
