Job description

The Doubletree by Hilton Colorado Springs is hiring a Line Cook to work AM or PM shifts.

Responsibilities:

1. Cooks prepare ingredients, wash vegetables, chop, season meat, and cook orders according to food health and safety standards. They may also operate a grill, oven, or fryer.
2. Cooks clean and sanitize workstations and utensils, wash dishes, and ensure the cooking area is safe.
3. Cooks take orders from wait staff or a computerized system, deliver food to wait staff, and ensure each order has the correct food and sides.
4. Cooks monitor inventory and reorder stock and food supplies.
5. Cooks assist other cooks and staff and may recommend ideas for specials or seasonal dishes.
6. Cooks need excellent communication skills to adapt to the various personalities present in a kitchen.

Qualifications:

1. Prior cook experience.
2. Able to work the AM or PM shift.

Compensation:

$17.50 - $19 hourly
