Hourly Wage

Guckenheimer Enterprises, Inc, an ISS Company, offers full-time employees a variety of benefits including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, as well as a comprehensive leave program based on employment status. The hourly pay range for this position is $17 per hour - $18 per hour.

Work Hours

The work hours for this position are Mon-Fri, 6:30 am - 2:30 pm.

Key Purpose

The Prep Production Cook is responsible for producing visually appealing and good tasting foods to Guckenheimer standards. You will prepare, season, and cook soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, or other products under the direction of the Cook or Chef, and serve customers during meal periods.

Ideal Candidate Experience
  • Ability to use standard kitchen equipment safely and correctly, including knives, convection ovens, meat slicers, steamers, grills, etc.
  • Knowledge of food materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for food preparation.
  • Ability to coordinate work and follow directions from the chef or cook.
  • Use of food cost control methods.
  • ServSafe certification or City/State Food Handler Card.
Key Accountabilities
  • Season and cook food according to recipes and experience.
  • Test and observe foods to ensure proper cooking, adjusting seasonings as needed.
  • Measure ingredients and prepare food using various utensils and equipment.
  • Experience with high-volume catering is a plus.
  • Portion, garnish, and serve food to patrons.
  • Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures.
  • Assist other cooks during busy periods or emergencies.
  • Follow all safety and food handling regulations, including ServSafe and HACCP standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work up to 8 hours on your feet, excluding breaks.
  • Lift at least 25 lbs.
  • Dress according to the dress code.
  • Work under pressure during peak times.
  • Deliver hot and cold foods using carts and vans.
