Cook – Food Services

We are seeking a talented, creative and experienced Cook to work in the Food Services department of the very busy and fast‑paced kitchen within our luxury assisted living community.

In this role you will be assisting with the preparation, seasoning and cooking of meals for residents and employees, as directed by the Director of Food Service or the Sous Chef. The loving care, attention and skills you bring to the services you provide are fundamental to the quality of life and the general wellbeing of our residents each day.

Responsibilities

• Helping to prepare food for the next meal service, including chopping, measuring and mixing ingredients according to established recipes.
• Ensuring all procedures are conducted following required health department and company regulations.
• Checking all food temperatures prior to meal service.
• Garnishing all plates before they leave the kitchen area.
• Assisting with other kitchen functions as necessary, including dishwasher, utilities, line cook, prep cook.
• Full‑time position includes one weekend day.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a restaurant, catering facility, hospital, hospitality, healthcare or similar food services related industry is a plus.
• Must be able to excel in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to understand the English language and follow instructions with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to follow all rules, regulations, policies and sanitary standards established by management.
