Job description

Join to apply for the Prep Cook role at Ruth's Chris Steak House.

All BOH positions are expected to report to work as scheduled, be in proper uniform, and maintain positive personal hygiene and cleanliness during all shifts. Each team member will receive their station assignment at the start of the shift and perform all opening and closing duties as directed by the Manager on Duty. Maintaining high standards of sanitation and food safety throughout the shift is mandatory. Employees must follow all safety guidelines and report any unsafe conditions, acts, accidents, or injuries immediately to the Chef or Manager on Duty.

Duties and Expectations
  1. Assist other kitchen staff with food preparation and sidework as assigned by the Chef.
  2. Prep all food according to Ruth's Chris Steak House recipes and standards.
  3. Cook and prepare food to meet company specifications, recipes, and quality standards, ensuring timely service for a superior guest experience.
  4. Check par and stock levels of ingredients, condiments, and supplies before the shift, and communicate discrepancies to the Chef.
  5. Season, cook, and plate food items to uphold Ruth's Chris standards of quality, presentation, and timing.
  6. Coordinate with the broiler cook to ensure all food is prepared and ready for service at the correct time.
  7. Restock food items, condiments, and supplies as needed throughout the shift.
  8. Adhere to all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions or incidents immediately.
  9. Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
